The Forester Light is ideal for the firewood contractor who moves from site to site where there are fewer and smaller trees for processing. As with all our equipment, each component is bolted onto the frame, making it easy to maintain and operate. The firewood processing station and splitter are fully enclosed, preventing accidental injury while operating. You will find this little firewood monster the ideal piece of equipment for contract loggers, smaller firewood businesses and rental stores.

Standard Features

1. 10 FOOT LIVE INFEED BED
This production infeed bed moves your log at a rate of 30 FPM.
2. THREE 5 FOOT LIVE LOG DECK ARMS
Our log decks offer convenience seldom found in smaller pieces of equipment. The arms can be operated horizontally to hold several logs or they can be lowered to the ground to pick up one log at a time for processing.
3. 25 HP GAS ENGINE WITH A TWO-STAGE HYDRAULIC PUMP
Our manual operator’s station features a joy stick for processing simplicity. The light weight engine-hydraulic pack offers plenty of HP to process logs into firewood quickly. Our removable duel-fuel tank package adds production by allowing one tank to be removed and replaced without spilling gas, thus reducing the risk of fire.
4. 24 INCH SAW BAR CAPABLE OF CUTTING LOGS UPTO 16” IN DIAMETER
New technology has greatly enhanced the speed of the cutting cycle. Our 24” saw bar features a 404 chain that is easy to remove and replace.
5. V-TROUGH SPLITTER WITH 4 by 24” SPLITTER PISTON
The V-trough splitter cradles the block by naturally centering it on the splitter knives. The beam design is much stronger than traditional H beams and offers much longer operational life.
6. 4-WAY MANUALLY ADJUSTABLE SPLITTER WITH INSERT KNIVES
Our splitter knives with the insert blades were developed over twenty years ago. These blades have a hardened leading edge that withstands most abuse but when damage does happen they can be taken out in minutes and replaced without hassle.
7. 12 FOOT INCLINE CONVEYOR
No one wants to handle firewood twice. This adjustable height conveyor will carry all the wood you give it and deliver it to most standard trucks.

Accessories

Infeed Conveyor Extension
MMI offers 5ft. or 10ft. infeed conveyor extension kits that easily attach to the standard infeed conveyor.
For road travel, these modules can be easily set into the standard infeed.

Incline Conveyor Extension
MMI offers 5ft. or 10ft. incline conveyor extension kits that are attached to the standard incline conveyor, and which for travel purposes folds back over the splitter assembly.

Upgrade your processor to a fully-automated remotely controlled system that increases production and improves your bottom line.

Auxiliary Stand-Alone Chipper
Branches, tree tops and brush can be turned into chip and later sold for a variety of uses. We will soon be introducing a pelletizer that can make fuel pellets from the scraps of the logging sight. In addition, we will be introducing a lumber molding line that can turn trash chip into profitable lumber and moldings that look nice and can be fire retardant and even bug resistant. The advantage for you as the field contractor is that you can compete with the larger distributors by reducing the big company overhead and longer shipping costs.

Auxiliary Stand-Alone Field Pelletizer and Bagger
Another product line that will soon be introduced is a pelletizer and bagger. By adding this to the accessories mounted on the frame, you maximize your profit from both the processor and logging sight.

Auxiliary Stand-Alone Fire Wood Bundler
We will also be introducing a short incline that feeds directly to an automatic grading bundler system. This system will allow you to choose bulk processing and feeding into dumpsters or packaging bundles for retail operations. Again your product-to-profit ratio skyrockets when labor is either greatly reduced or eliminated.
